Valinnaisella valokuvakurssilla (KUS2) syntyi kuvasarjoja, jotka kuvaavat jotain tiettyä henkilöä ilman, että henkilö itse esiintyy kuvassa. Thaimaalainen vaihto-oppilaamme Pim teki kuvasarjan perheenjäsenestään:
You might have heard of me. You might have seen me somewhere. Good day ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce myself: I am Prince Albert. I have the honour to be a guest blogger here in your school’s wonderful art blog. It really is an honour, indeed. I will be telling you about my journey. It starts in the wonderful capital of Finland, Helsinki. I am very happy about this opportunity and I hope you will enjoy my journey and pictures as much as I did.
My journey started here in Kauppatori. It’s a very nice place where you can see Finns selling fish, eating ice cream and all of the pigeons staring at you. I think the pigeons were just jealous of me.
Here I am, just hanging. Even though this picture is kind of greyish I can assure you that not whole Helsinki is like this. Not at all! I really love this city already, indeed.
Here I am hanging with the President of Finland. How cool is that? How many of you have tried this? Not many, I suppose.
I decided to go to the seaside because I felt a bit melancholic. I had just met the President – at least kind of? I made myself believe that I saw the President but I am not sure about it anymore. Maybe I only imagined everything in my mind and that’s what makes me melancholic. But isn’t that normal in Finland, in the country of fantasy?
The aftermath of melancholy is always like this but perhaps a kind soul can pick up this worthless little me.
Finns are actually very warmhearted people. This sweetheart even wanted a picture with me. Really makes my melancholy fade away!
But really though, can you find me? This was fun.
Helsinki is very beautiful, indeed, but this thing shocked me!
The old me can’t keep up with these trends but call me maybe? Helsinki is too modern.
I met this wonderful lady called… Uhm, what was her name again? However, we had good time together. We old sports were so hippie together.
The urban scenery is just made for me, don’t you think? I might get old but hippies are forever! Is this bench hippie enough for me?
I was invited to this coffee place called Starbucks. I am very confused, indeed. I had to order coffee instead of tea! Can you believe that?
I made another friend. Is this pizza food Finnish?
Finally I am here! This is what I’ve been looking for the entire day. I am so happy to find my destination. What a journey this has been, indeed. I am very glad to have been able to write you about my journey here in Helsinki. Good bye and may we meet again!
